Custom Decorators was established in the 1980s as the in-home decorating service for a regional paint retailer. Custom Decorators, (CDI) was incorporated as a separate business in 1996 to serve the growing needs of businesses for shop-at-home decorating services with an emphasis on window coverings.

CDI offers in-home sales and installation of décor-related products.

Our primary focus is on window coverings of all types, from blinds and shades to shutters and custom draperies. We have a long-standing relationship with Hunter Douglas, the leading name in window treatments worldwide, and are their largest customer. We utilize a field force of over 400 designers and 250 installers across North America.

Our business model is to represent our business partner’s brand in the home (instead of ours) and offer that partner’s customers window treatments that are right for their situation and budget.
